Heaven has fallen
The battle is lost
The price paid in blood
At a staggering cost
The angels flee downward
With demons in tow
To hide their young children
Amongst the people below
Families broken
Friendships destroyed
The world sinks deeper
In the darkening void
Great cities have fallen
Vast lands overrun
The dark reign of midnight
Blocks the light of the sun
The fields lie burning
Smoke hangs in the air
The scent of death hovers
Above the land everywhere
Yet glittering in the darkness
A shard of hope remains
A sparkle in the nighttime sky
To guard against the pain
The children of the heavens
Rise up again to fight
Against the looming darkness
